Here you are asked to report on the activities and outcomes related to the Global Development Research Grant you received from Note Dame Global.
Applications accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed monthly with the frist first review in August 2025. Applications will not be accepted after November 30, 2025 for the 2025-2026 academic year and summer.
Applications to be submitted at least 5 months in advance of when it is anticipated to host the guest scholar/guest artist.
Notre Dame Global is pleased to announce the Asia Guest Scholar/Artist Partnership Program. The goal of this program is to partner with on-campus centers/institutes/departments in bringing to Notre Dame guest scholars and artists from Asia with outstanding reputations in their field. During the visit, the guest scholar/artist would pursue their own research/creative work and discuss future collaborations, while engaging in the intellectual/artistic life and community at Notre Dame.
Applications may be made for a semester or part thereof, with a minimum stay of 2 weeks. A faculty member must agree submit an application from the hosting unit/center/department, including supporting documentation from the guest scholar/artist. That faculty member must also be willing to facilitate engagement on campus and the hosting unit/center/department must be willing to facilitate logistics.
The Asia Guest Scholar/Artist will be expected to, at a minimum, give a talk to faculty/graduate students in the hosting unit regarding their research/creative work and depending on the length of stay, more engagement is welcomed. The application should include details of that planned engagement. If the guest scholar/artist is coming from the locale of one of Notre Dame's global locations, details of engagement, on their return, with the University through that location is requested.
*All international guest scholars/artists will need an immigration status to enter the U.S. The hosting unit will be responsible for engaging International Student and Scholar Affairs (ISSA) in the process of determining the appropriate visa status and securing any necessary documentation.
ELIGIBILITY Full-time regular members of the Notre Dame faculty, library faculty, and special professional faculty are eligible to apply as hosts from a center/institute/department/library.
Eligible Expenses Funding is provided up to $10,000 for a semester based on matched cost sharing and on an expenses-only basis, with the following expenses being eligible:

APPLICATION GUIDELINES Applications can be made for a semester or part thereof with a minimum stay of 2 weeks.

- Anticipated dates for the visit and anticipated length of stay
- A letter from the potential guest scholar/artist from Asia addressing their interest in visiting Notre Dame and specifying their preferred length of stay and how they will engage with the hosting unit during their stay.
